Road use scooters are classified as class 3 scooters. features include full suspension, increased weight capacity and can be used on roads. They can switch to a maximum of 4 mph for pavement or indoor use.
Class 3 vehicle users do not require a driving license but should obey the highway code at all times.
You are required to register with the DVLA . Our Mobility Advisers will be pleased to complete the necessary paperwork for you. Mobility scooters are not allowed on motorways or bus/cycle lanes. Insurance is not legally required, at present but strongly recommended.
All Road use scooterss must be fitted with front and rear lights, indicators, horn, mirrors and reflectors.use Scooters are not generally easily dismantled but can still be transported.
